Winamp, on my work computer only, plays one burned CD I have at just a hair faster than it's supposed to be played. This makes "Unerasable Sin" sound like it's being sung by a Japanese chipmunk, and makes me want to headbang to it. I think I like it.

Today is starting out on all the right notes. I'd blame the coffee I got from Les Double 'Wa' this morning, but I was in an extrordinarily chipper mood even before that. Then I got loads of good news as soon as I got to work, I get to leave 59 minutes early today, and there was more money on my paycheck than I was expecting. Plus it's a holiday weekend.

I plan to be Productive, and hopefully get everything (cleaning included) but the spare room finished today. I get to have fun on the 23rd, and it's going to be cool Halloween'y stuff. I haven't been there for a Halloween weekend yet. Yay! It's also the last weekend of the Faire, so there may be Good Deals to be had. I may pick of another couple of bottles of Mount Hope's excellent Holiday Wine for Thanksgiving...although I still need to find a heated wine carafe. Maybe I'll sample their Merlot as well.

Yay!

Speaking as a libertarian, I think lawsuits are the awesome. It's like being bitchslapped by the invisible hand. (of market forces, presumably)

Once again, the universe proves that there really is a neverending supply of idiots.

And this depressing story has engendered a neverending supply of state police, local police, FBI, and news helicopters around my house at all hours. Yes, I live extremely close to where the boy went missing. Nice, huh?

I now have my two signed boxes, free, courtesy of ADV's cast guessing games. I am carousing about in a fit of fangirlish glee, although the extreme heat in my house means the prancing about part is short-lived. (Erik hasn't discovered the high-tech tool otherwise known as "blankets" that can be used to keep one warm during the night, so he cranks the heat up instead. I ph34r our electric bill next month).

Yay!
