For the past week I've felt rather as if I've lost an arm - the Internet has always been so readily available to me, and suddenly...it wasn't. I couldn't look up phone numbers, find that reference I wanted, or contact the people I wanted to.
Now, I can. And it rather feels like that lost arm is hopelessly crippled. I just waited ten minutes for this page to load, a page rather notable for it's lack of largeness or pictures. I can't even get into Gmail at the moment. It's rather painful.
And I got to pay $40 (plus $23+ a month - AOL's up to $24!) for the privilege. I've had high-speed access since 1997. Suddenly, I've crawled back into the early days of the web, but the web hasn't crawled back with me. My hatred of Flash has reached new extremes. There is bitterness, and hate.
(I'll update on the wedding and trip once I get done being bitter)
