The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

Let me be the first to say fuck that! Yea, my insurance isn't going to be Progressive for much longer. And they'll be getting a nice long letter explaining exactly why we cancelled our policy. My tinfoil hat is firmly in place!

And besides - this means we get to give the fabulous Mr. Shala more money, and he gets to give us a 15% discount since we have our home insurance policy through him as well.

(Move status: Lots of boxes moved, no furniture. Forecast says 20+ inches of rain through Sunday, so furniture movement is uncertain. Utilities switched, phone hooked up, address changed with most places, and mail forwarding activated. Rock! I get to clean today, then start unpacking said boxes.)

It has been raining, hard, ever since I got home from work. My burly man-crew is much reduced in size from our original estimates - from a large crew of burly police-men with a small fleet of burly man-trucks down to just my husband and his 14-year-old brother. Who haven't loaded anything since I got home - Chance stared at his feet and Erik busily entered phone numbers into his new cell phone while I trudged past with boxes to load into my car. My heroes!

It doesn't look like we're going to make it back out there today. I'm planning on driving my loaded car to work and heading straight to the property after to unload, clean, and start unpacking. Maybe my burly man-crew will both grow in number and accomplish more if I'm not supervising. Heh...
