Death is too good for me right now. In that I would welcome sweet oblivion quite happily at the current moment in time.

Last week I had my first full-blown migrane in months. Like, turn off all the lights, crank up the AC, lay down and try not to move. At one point I was starting to think that I was going to have to make Erik take me to the hospital to have my brain removed. It hurt that bad.

This morning on my way to work (while driving), another one started up, but I have so far managed to fend off the worst of it with liberal doses of both pain killers and caffeine. It makes me sad that all I wanted out of life this morning was some freaking Barq's Root Beer (Barq's has bite! And caffeine!), but Wawa had none that my halo sparkly vision could locate. Mrah.

More house stuff )

Is it profanity ) to ask how much freaking money I have to provide tomorrow? I close in almost exactly 24 hours, and I still don't know how much money I'm going to need.

They suggested first adding $500 to the estimate, then suggested adding $1000-2000 to the estimate. In the same sentance. Which is it!?! What the heck kind of estimate is known to be $500-2000 short? Where does this magical extra money go?

This is all confused by the fact that I already paid the $400 appraisal and the insurance. Which may or may not be on this estimate sheet, I can't figure it out. And I think I know that the survey was $700 more than the estimate. But I already paid $1000 towards closing costs. So...WTF!?!

I hate hate HATE being this close to the edge and having everything be so uncertain. I close in less than twenty-four hours, and they can't freaking tell me how much money I need to close until tomorrow morning!?!?!

I was OK after the inspection yesterday. I was fine this morning, other than the migrane (which is faded a bit, but still threatens). Now, now I'm freaking out far worse than I was earlier this week.

I did get to see the biggest black widow I've ever seen in my life today while checking out one of my PDS boxes (body = quarter. Not legs, just body. Creepy as hell - that thing would put you in the hospital for months). GYAHH!!!!

(And I don't appear to have an icon appropriate for general freaking-out-ness. Imagine it instead.)

Somebody quick - tell me why this was a good idea again?

Apparently, my randomness extends to my closets. Here's an assortment of the strange, completely random things I've found in the hall closet while packing:

-A crystal perfume bottle
-A Gherdelli (I so spelled that wrong) coffee mug gift set, unopened
-A complete set of Logres Weyr newsletters (they have spiffy fanart covers)
-A plastic beer keg
-Silverware
-Sheets I've never seen in my life, unopened
-A complete set of black towels, custom monogramed by my crazy mother-in-law for Erik and I
-A toaster, blender, ice-cream maker, and deep-fryer (the last three unopened)
-A tabletop fountain, liberally covered in mineral deposits (note: use filtered water in those bad boys, they're obnoxious to clean. Which is probably why it's in the closet)
-A siopao steamer (although it could probably be used to steam other things - we haven't bothered. And I probably spelled that wrong, too)
-Advertisements for a Christian resort I've never heard of
-Several unopened wedding gifts, of the home-decor variety
-The head of a bear teapot/mug combo that my mother gave me. Just the head. No teapot/mug
-An entire freaking box of unopened silverware placesettings. Apparently, I was planning ahead...(this was our second flatware pattern we picked out - the first was discontinued after we recieved four placesettings and we were completely unable to track down more, the second was also discontinued, but we did manage to track down more. Much more. And don't ask me about dishes - the ones we have now are the fifth set we registered for. Much like publishers track my used-book buying habits to decide what to reprint, dish sellers tracked what we wanted and immediately discontinued the whole mess)
-A wooden box with a lid for a photo
-Stuffed animals
-Other stuff that I can't recall because I already packed it, damnit!

I am calm about tomorrow now - we're borrowing money from Erik's grandparents just in case it ends up costing us more than we thought it would. This makes me feel Much Better, even though I don't think it'll be necessary.
