I think I'm actually preferring my Flash-man meeting training today over the alternative - Boss Man just threatened to shove Fu-Master's head into a rack. I have no idea what the context is, but it's clear that there is...conflict. Oy...

Need to get insurance today, so I'll be spending the afternoon on the phone.

I also called the Wyndham corporate offices and complained about the shoddy and smoke-filled condition of my room, and the way I was brushed off when I complained. In hindsight, I'm more annoyed by it than I was at the time, because it's at least partially my fault that most of us ended up at the Wyndham - I was the first person to make reservations there (based on positive experiences with Wyndham elsewhere), and other people followed my lead. If you feel like complaining, the number is 1-800-347-7559. I travel too much to deal with nonsense like that.

I hate you too.

All I want to do is buy a freaking house. I just want a freaking place to live. Toni "The Fucking Bitch" Yates finally agreed to let us do an inspection...if we signed a letter stating that the inspection was "for informational purposes only" first. Pardon me while I say fuck that!

As things stand, any problems with "existing appliances, heating, cooling plumbing, electrical systems and equipment" have to be fixed by the sellers. But that leaves a lot of room for problems like roof or water damage that aren't apparent just by looking.

They're apparently willing to take this to court. We're supposed to go to closing in about a week. I don't think they realize that "going to court" is going to include personal suits against the seller, Toni Yates, and ReMax Town & Country. And possibly ReMax Allegiance as well.

{late Addendum] Hokay, a possible compromise was suggested to me by the exceedingly wise individuals who are my parents. If I can get either the sellers or ReMax to purchase a 1-year home warrentee (about $300, apparently), I'm willing to sign that paper and let them go ahead with the "informational purposes only" inspection. They still have to provided certificates for the well, septic, and termite, and cover the things mentioned in the contract. I just need to see if Erik is also willing...but he lost his signal while I was talking to him. *hyperventilates*
