The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

Over the weekend I finished up the Best. Apocalypse. Evar. (don't read the book description if you have any interest in the series, it gives Plot Points away that show up in the middle books of the series). Perfect way to "end" the series, with some twists I really wasn't anticipating. Good stuff. There are rumors of a prequel book about the hacker-character Mouse. I want it.

Anyway, after finishing this I've been feeling the urge to read books outside of my norm, but I haven't the slightest idea where to begin.

So...what are some of your favorite books/authors? I'm quite literally looking for anything at all, as long as it's good.

I find it interesting that, according to some of the non-US citizens I've talked politics with, the two major US political parties are not considered "left" and "right," but "right" and "really, really, really far right."

That says something about our country, but I'm not sure what.
