Un-fucking-believable.
So, I order this thing from Best Buy. And, on April 12 or somewhere thereabouts, it ships via media mail with tracking. According to the tracking data, it arrived at the Fredericksburg Post Office on Thursday, April 22 at 10:56AM. Yet it never seems to get to my house.
Fine, things happen, and I expect delays with media mail. Except a package that shipped out from California (the extreme opposite side of the continent from me) last Friday has already show up on my doorstep.
Fine, I decide. I'll give it a week. If it hasn't shown up at my house by Thursday afternoon, I'll call the post office to find out what's going on with it. It was too late when I got home yesterday to do anything about it, so I figured I'd just take care of it today.
So I log into my account to get the tracking data. And the tracking portion of Best Buy's website is down, so I can't get the tracking number. Easily solved - I'll just call up Best Buy's customer service and get it!
Right. Except they don't keep track of the tracking numbers with each order - the apparently pawn that off onto another company. The same one who's site is down. Best Buy's customer service uses the same website to get the data that I can. They have NO additional information about my account. None. Nothing.
I'm a bit annoyed - I have to wait for this site to come back online so I can call the post office - hopefully before it closes - and find out what's going on with a package that should have shown up a week ago.
Truly a lost art...
