Random shuffle = brain damaged?

That seems like an ... odd conclusion to come to. Does he mean that every child ever exposed to MTV is by definition brain damaged? Having 20,000 songs on your computer that you've never listened to does seem rather brain damaged to me.

The &^@*^##$%@ who are digging around my fiber pipes, who have been making my life miserable, have managed to hit and crack one of my pipes. Fuckers. The only bright side of this is that it was, coincidentally, the one pipe that doesn't have any fiber it in - had it been the other pipe the situation would be much more Unpleasant.

Now we have to go take pictures of it, and document it, and get it fixed today so the idjits can get their work done. That's now going to be delayed by several hours. Which means it probably won't be finished today. Which means I'll probably be there overnight.

At least I had a fun weekend - I'm not sure that anyone else had fun, but I did.

[EDIT] After looking at the pictures of the cut line, I'm feeling fucking sick. At the point where they cut the line the two tubes are right on top of one another, with the pipe with actual fiber in it only about four inches under the pipe that was cut. Four fucking inches!!! And right before they took the last swipe that cut my line, my contractor told them explicitly that they were getting too close to the line and they really needed to get in there with shovels.

They're saying now that it won't be fixed today. We're trying to get them to cover the pipes back up with steel plate or dirt until they actually do the work. They're balking. It's nice outside and all, but I still don't want to be out there overnight.
