Two trips to Circuit City and more hours than I want to think about later, I have a functioning computer. Which bears little resemblance to the old computer since, at this point, the only parts they share in common is the two optical drives, the two CD drives, and the memory. Everything else - new. And I'm going to have to replace my system drive, because it is getting ready to go at some point, too. Funny clicking noise wasn't the fan.

But, since I now have working CD drives I can burn everything off, pull out the 40GB drive that's going, format and reinstall the OS on the 30GB drive, and pick up an 80-100GB storage drive when I can find one cheap. Should work quite nicely.

The day also started out with a phone call from my boss saying hey! You might have to come babysit a hole all freaking night, because they're not planning on covering up our pipes! Did you know that? No, I didn't. Luckily, it was my boss on scene, and he apparently managed to bully the foreman into covering stuff up, because the next phone call I recieved was a much happier one.

Here's hoping nothing happens tomorrow. I'm going to crash now.

Only the highlights:

TUTU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tututututututututututututututututututututututututututu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And did I mention....Tutu!?!

Ahem. ADV, you're more than welcome to my firstborn, since Thomas turned it down. Give me a release date, and I'll be a happy camper. Actually, I'm already a happy camper, but I'd be an even happier one.

Onto something that someone else will care about...Geneon's Sailor Moon licenses expire at the end of the year, and are non-renewable. Including the movies. That means as of Jan 1 there will be no Sailor Moon licensed in R1, unless the live-action show is licensed. "Non-renewable" seems to imply some hope of that to my speculative soul.

Ahem, anyway - if you don't have the S and SuperS seasons, along with the movies, I'd recommend picking them up by the end of the year, since there's no guarantee that Sailor Moon will be released in English again.

Kodocha also licensed, by Funimation. This means a high likelyhood of cheap boxsets at some point. This is a good thing. Yay!

Ok, now I'm really going to bed.

[EDIT] Dude, I must really need that sleep that I keep putting off, because I missed the Geneon annoucement of (wait for it...especially Opt....) Stellvia!!! First disc out in September, which is freaking awesome. Paranoia Agent out in October - trippy crazy show, just my sort of thing. Very psychological. Yay, redux!

Only 17 shows left on my "please license" list at the moment, and at least 7 of those are gimmes (practically guaranteed to be already licensed, just not finalized/announced yet). Pretty good if you ask me!
