I have, though sheer luck, managed to find the only nice, helpful, and proactive customer service rep working for my insurance company. They have not yet resolved my one remaining issue, but they're supposed to call me back as soon as they can - apparently, my claims were entered with the wrong code.
The other claim, they never recieved, so a call to the hospital took care of that. My doctor's office is once again billing me for a copay for a doctor's appointment last May that I paid in the office, was billed for twice, and was then reassured that all was well and that my account had a zero balance in August. Apparently, the entire staff was "replaced" in October, and they require paper proof that I paid this almost a year ago. I was very nasty to them, since I find this utterly outrageous. Why, if I had a balance on my account, would they not bother to send me a bill for seven months? I suspect incompetence. Lots of it. Buckets.
Anyway, I took the day off to deal with this situation. I'm going to nap now, since Wonderful Insurance Lady said she probably won't be able to resolve this in time to call me back today, but that I'm at the top of her To Do list and she'll call me tomorrow.
It's always nice to have your expectations exceeded.
Oh! And I have one more chance to win a free DVD for the cast guessing game - if I don't win in the three drawings I'm eligible for, I have a 1-in-5 chance to win in the "consolation drawing." Apparently one of the roles we were trying to guess hasn't been cast yet, which is why nobody could get it right. *snicker*
