Yea, I could have gotten something better, but then I would have had to shell out for DDR memory, which seems to be to be rather expensive. Especially since most new mobos only seem to come with two memory slots, so I'd have to get, at minimum, a 512 chip. And I'd really want a gig chip, since my goal for my next computer is to have multiple gigs of memory. Yay!

Having working optical drives again will be niiiiiice. Living without my burner has been miserable. Of course, this means I will no longer be able to play with my newly upgraded computer, since Erik will be getting his Morrowind fix any time he's home.

I also threw a firewire card in on this order, since I fully intend to purchase a 40GB iPod around my birthday. Especially since I just discovered that there's a federal employee discount. Yay!
