Yea, in November or thereabouts Adelphia "restructured" their billing whatevahs, which resulted in me paying about $15 more a month for cable and internet. This rather irritates me, but if I want broadband I have no other choice than satellite, and paying $400 or whatever the latest fee is for installation and hookup is...insane. Especially since I'll just have to do it again in a few months.

So, in the most passive of passive-agressive responses, I turned around and decided that I'd put that new 30GB hard drive to good use. Heh - I think I have downloads running day and night now. The speed sucks, but I feel much happier knowing that Adelphia must deal with my traffic 24/7. Suckers!

...Work must be more boring than normal today, if all I can think of to post is this.

Now I remember what I wanted to post about! Princess Nine. Go buy it. If you like good characters, a fun story, a little romance, and a little angst (not much), this is your show. If you like baseball, this is your show. Even if you don't like baseball (I don't), this is still your show! And at $36 shipped, everyone should go out and buy it. Or borrow it from me, if you're one of those people who are close by and feel like dropping in.

I do, however, warn you that you should not, under any circumstances, watch disc 5 until you have the time to throw in disc 6 right afterwards.

Ah....SUCH a good story! It's a horridly cliched sports anime, but unless you've watched a few sports anime you're not likely to even notice, and if you do notice you're not likely to care. If anyone wants something more coherent in the way of a review, let me know.

*goes off to her happy place*

I'm going to build my next computer case. Out of stained glass.

Provided I can find a suitable frame with mounting brackets for the hardware, this is not only doable but will be relatively easy. And will rock, hard. Especially with lights mounted inside.

I'm going to be treated like a madwoman at Craftech, though. They should all get a kick out of this idea, and there's a certain satisfaction in not only building my own computer, but designing and building the case as well.

At this point I have no idea what kind of design I want, but it will have purple, and the hinged door side (I think I'll have magnets to close it) will have clear pieces - most of it will be opaque swirly glass, though, because I like opaque swirly glass.

Suggestions welcome!

[EDIT] As Rachan has so kindly pointed out, magnets are a bad idea. As is crack. The absolute easiest way I've come up with to do this would be to take one of these and mount the stained glass on the outside. I could even design it to slip over the case and be removable if need be. But that doesn't seem nearly elegant enough. I am fully expecting this project to take me a year, what with the fact that I can't even cut glass yet, and with everything else going on, but I'm really excited.
