machine_dove at 10:26am on 12/01/2004The %*#^$(!&$@ airlines want four hundred dollars a ticket to fly to Tucson in February!?! Are they out of their freaking minds!?!?!?! I can fly to Europe for that much! It's not exactly peak flying season, either.
Highway freaking robbery. I get to pay obscene amounts of cash for the dubious honor of being treated like a criminal, subjected to invasive searches, prevented from bringing needlework on the plane because those blunt needles are dangerous, you know. I could poke an eye out with one, or even cause minor bleeding if I jam one under a fingernail!
Seriously, pencils are more dangerous than cross-stitch needles. How long until we can't bring pencils on a plane? Or pens? Or pennies? If you had a bag of them you could knock someone out! What on earth are you going to do with a pair of nail clippers, can someone tell me? They're on the forbidden items list.
And they'll lose my luggage again, I know it. Or we'll be routed to Detriot and left there to rot again, while our luggage is left unattended in a public terminal.
GAH!!!!! This trip is already shaping up to be a first-rate pain in the ass. FamilyCrap(tm) is almost certain to sap any fun we might possibly have from it. FamilyCrap(tm) is already sapping all the fun from this trip, and it isn't for another month!
