You know, "Vic = Luv" is a much better mantra than the one that's been running through my head prior to this. Namely, "DIE RAT BASTARDS!!!"

One ran across my foot last week. Then another one dared to show itself in front of me in broad daylight. And I can hear them frolicking in the walls of my office (luckily just in the walls - they can't get in the house anywhere but the sink).

I've authorized Extreme Countermeasures, possibly to include totem warnings around the house adorned by little mousey skulls.

Mouse skull totem poles. Hmm... I like it, in a Vlad, the Impaler sort of way. It beats repair bills that would result from shooting through the walls at them.

I must admit that I can't take sole credit for the image - there was something similar in a horrid book called The Wasp Factory that I could only read about ten pages of.

It does make for a delightful image on my more bloodthirsty days, though. Must be that Viking blood.
